We were a little sick of France by this time (hehe) and decided to take a quick trip up to Brussels. We even managed to negotiate their metro by ourselves, which is very different to Paris.
Once again, of course, we did the Christmas market, which was lovely, and took millions of photos, and were overwhelmed by the amount of chocolate shops and pawn shops (Mum has been taking notes for when she gets home). We bought some cute little chocolate figurines from a chocolate shop, which we needed then to help us with our depression at seeing all the amazing antique jewellery that they had on display in the pawn shops (Mum says they are a bit classier at the ones that we have at home though, you have to ring a bell to even get in, and then pass a "is my clothing and jewellery expensive enough and am i rich" test).
The square in Brussels was lovely, and Mum actually remembered it from 30 years ago (eventually). However everything was window shopping, as that was all we could afford.
We then headed back to the resort to meet Tesni, who was staying with us for the evening, and she bought our a very french meal of bread and cheese and pate etc for us. We then couldnt move for the rest of the evening, and fell into bed around midnight. 😊
