Brussels and Bruges... a Bank Holiday weekend in England so I joined the crowds and went away... a few days in Belgium. Day one and two was spent in Brussels where we ate some fantastic Belgium food and drank Belgium beer... for a non beer drinker - it sure was good! Saw some pretty amazing buildings in this city that is 1000 yrs old! La Grand Place was magnificent and it lived up to being 'one of the best squares in the world'... a great place to sit back and enjoy a beer and the surroundings.
On our last day we took a train out to Bruges - a lovely little town filled with lots of people away for the Bank Holiday weekend. A riverboat down the canals was a lovely way to enjoy the sun and sights of Bruges. Another market square was the perfect setting for a perfect belgian waffle.
