Innsbruck, Graz, Wien

The trip to Austria was enjoyable and beautiful. The country has a lot to offer starting from mountain and lake scenary in Innsbruck to the great cultural event in Wien. We entered Austria and stayed in a camping place somewhere in the mountain not so far from Innsbruck then we headed to Graz and finished our trip in Wien. I expected much more in Wien because i've heard about the city quite a lot. The city is indeed beautiful, but is too big to admire lol.. just have the feeling of very very well-developed Moscow with luxery and chic-restaurants everywhere... high buidings, great achitectural moments.. The city of Graz is cute. Lovely. It was the cultural capital of Europe in 2002* (or somewhere around this year).. The city was not really busy, may be just because most of its population ( students) was not there to enjoy the beauty of summer.. Even then, i just could relate this city to Krakow or even St.petersburg..(yeah some parts of it) Small city with a friendly atmosphere...
I had never spent so much time in Austria before, and it was rather lovely. Last 2 years i was only in Saltzburg Graz is a wonderful little city, over 850 years old it is the capital of the Austrian province of Steiermark (Styria). Its beautifully restored Altstadt (Old City), it is the largest in Europe and all this makes it an architectural treasure. Steiermark has a beautiful and varied landscape ranging from magnificent mountains for hiking to green hillsides and valleys for food and wine production. The long and rich cultural tradition of Graz and Steiermark dates back to the 14th century when Graz was the residence of the Austrian Emperor. That tradition continues today through the Opernhaus (Opera House), Schauspielhaus (Drama Theatre), the excellent concert halls, and an exciting and creative concert calendar.
