5 weeks in Central America!

Hi all,
Together with my girlfriend I will visit Central America for 5 weeks this summer. Currently we are figuring out where to start and what to do given our time and budget. Until now we have the intention to climb vulcanoes, see maya ruines, hike in the rainforest to meet the wildlife, visit some small villages and markets and end up at some beautiful beach to party, relax and snorkel/dive. As we are going to travel by bus we want to take a relaxed pace, although we do want to see as much of this amazing contintent as possible.

Can anyone give us some tips on where to go and what to do?
