St. Thomas has all the flavor of what you would expect in a Caribbean Island. It has shopping, arts and galleries, fine dining, nightlife, water sports, a great beach and great attractions.
Linda opted for the beach. I took a tour of the island. Near the top of the island is a great place that was once owned by an American Company for a vacation treat for their top executives. It was given to the government and it is now a tourist attraction. It sports some best views of the island, great flower gardens and more. It was a real treat.
One other place there was a man playing the steel drum Caribbean style. It was absolutely beautiful music. I bought his album.
Again, there wasn’t enough time to enjoy St. Thomas. Just enough to make you want to come back. This tropical paradise is US soil. It is part of the Virgin Islands bought in 1917 by the US from Denmark to be used by the US Navy for coaling stations and to help prevent German infiltration of the Americas

Cuba
If you see Castro, please do your diplomatic thing and talk some sense into him. If anyone can do it you can. Have you ever thought of going into politics???????
