Another amazing sunset in the Caribbean!
Mystique, the island of the rich and famous. It is one of the few privately owned islands in the Grenadines. Due to its luxury and isolation many famous people have vacation homes here including Tommy Hilfiger, Shania Twain, Mick Jagger, Brian Adams, and Princess Margaret. It also attracts the very rich such as a sheik from Saudi Arabia and the CEO of Nike. In fact, you just never know who you might run into. We thought we saw the Hilfiger clan up at Firefly, one of the hip restaurants on the island. All the kids were dressed in white and looked like they were straight out of a catalogue. But alas, that was our only star sighting while we were there.

We stayed in Mustique for just a couple of days; enough to explore the island, have lunch at Basils, and do a little retailing at the high end shops here. The town is quaint and charming. There’s really not much to it except for a couple boutiques, a small grocery store, a fruit market, and Sweetie Pies Bakery (where you get fresh pastries and baguettes daily- delicious). And the anchorage was beautiful, crystal clear water with a colorful fishing

fleet that lined the white sand beach. Of course we were visiting during the off-season, so all in all it was quiet. But we had a great time walking around the island, admiring the giant estates and private compounds set amongst the beautiful beaches and pristine waters of the Caribbean.

We did a little shopping at the Pink House (which sells top end designer clothes) and the Purple House (which sells local island arts and crafts).
