We are very busy. We dodged Fay, eye went over Ponce, lot's of rain, no wind. Then Gustav went South of Ponce. Now watching another low...
We have taken small day trips. Sunday we went to Caguas, visited my cousin and her husband. Emilio cooked a great meal, Silvia made an out of sight salad.
Last week, Lucy and Eduardo showed up at the Club with a 100 avocados, they all ripen up at the same time. I ended up with 10. Gave away a few...We eat them like water, Breakfast and dinner. They also brought plantains, green ones, they are also ripening up fast.
Today we visited downtown. New plaza called Atocha. They sell food, and veggies.
Had a hot dog with no mustard, my goodness. These PR people mix ketchup and mayo into everything. No mustard!
We are getting pretty good about finding places, but yeah we have map. It is called have map, we travel.
Hector lent us his P/U truck. It is a 1998 Ford Ranger, charcoal color, and it has air, whew.
Playing dominoes is a past the time here. These people love it. So we play almost daily, getting quite good at it.
Last Friday we went dancing. We have been to Pizza Heaven, and did not have pizza. We had a nother special, not in the menu, very high on cholesterol, yeah pill time.
Saturday night found us at Tatin and Gretel, Chapuzon. It is on the boardwalk. Great ropa vieja.
