Today we were in San Juan but we ended up spending most of the day just sitting around on the lounge chairs on the promenade deck in between eating. Lin was just not up to doing more than that. So at least I didn’t have to go shopping like she’d originally planned. We did have an evening tour to a Latin Traditions show booked but she decided not to go at the last minute. I went ahead by myself and it was actually a very enjoyable show. We weren’t too sure when we got there since it was big empty room of plastic chairs with chair covers and were handed our plastic cup of punch when we walked in. The man in the show was a very good guitarist and also a good singer. There were 3 female dancers who came out in different costumes depending on the country/dance they were doing. The songs were from various parts of Latin America except for his version of Zorba the Greek which he said he had to learn when he was 16 and on the Ed Sullivan show because Ed thought he was a Flamingo guitarist and greek.

Got back to the ship about 9:30 so after checking on Lin (she was watching a movie on TV) I went up for the 10:00 show which was a comedian named Melvin who was actually pretty funny. The Philippine crew show was after that and I stayed for a bit but was getting restless from sitting down doing nothing most of the day. So made a quick stop in the casino but actually came out with an extra $15 this time

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you won some money Sharon. Tell Lin we are thinking of her. Janet
