Balcony shot
Off our balconyHi from Jamaica!
Its Thursday, July 22nd, 2010. Its about 10:42 PM and I'm sitting on my balcony at the Holiday Inn SunSpree All-inclusive resort in Montego Bay Jamaica. Its amazing here!
We arrived after a short 3.5 hour flight on the 21st, and we took a quick 10 minute cab ride (with a nice/funny driver) to our resort. Once checked in, we dug into the food and drinks and we really haven't stopped since. Kenji and I are eating like 4-6 times a day! Mostly snacking all day with one or two decent sized meals in between. I'm going to be fat when I come back!!
There are a lot of things included in the package, but some that are not. You can use snorkels for free but cannot go out to a reef (on a boat) and snorkel without paying. Kenji thinks 35$ for that is a bit too much for a 1 hour snorkel trip 3 miles off-shore, but I don't so I'm going to buy it for us both one day. Not sure when yet.
Tomorrow (friday) we have a Dunn's River Falls package booked. We leave at 9 am from our Hotel

Looking suave for the falls. It will be some time at the falls climbing them/swimming, and then over to a big shopping mall to buy some souvenirs for people. We are very excited about it.
Saturday we have a Zipline and Jungle tour booked through the Hotel as well. It will be 7 different Ziplines with intermittent jungle walks in between, followed by a 2 hour float of a fresh-water river here in Jamaica. We can't wait for that either!
Anyway, we have almost NO cell reception here, and the internet is expensive and splotchy at best. SO, I'm going to wrap this up. I've included a couple of snap shots of our Hotel balcony, and sunset here in Jamaica.

Wonderful to hear from you.
It's so great that you guys got to go to Jamaica and lounge in the sun and do all that other stuff. Have fun and we can hardly wait until you return with pictures and stories. Love you both bunches -- Nama
