Cholera. A treatable disease if found early, but when its too late, lives are taken. So many people get cholera and die, that to try to control it, bodies are buried rather than released to families. Since last november, 2,000+ people have died. It is highly contageous. THe earthquake in Haiti last year killed 250,000 people, destroyed the capital, and left 1 million people homeless. The government does little to none to help its citizens. Countries around the world have donated money, time, and goods to help out the small nation. The US has created sweatshops to help employ Haitians, which is alot more than what their own government has done to help save its citizens.
