Ricardo was explaining to me how to pound the footing. I didn't understand all the words he was saying, but we were still able to communicate and get the job done together.

What a goof ball....but we needed that throughout the morning. It was tough work!

The pile of cardboard cones is a part of Alba's daily work. She is required to glue and roll 2,000 cardboard cones before noon each day. The cones are then passed to another family to stuff them and another family to pack them for sale. Approximately 30 families participate in this assembly work. For every 1,000 cones, Alba makes $1.80. She said it is difficult some days with 2 young children and with the living costs being so expensive (electricity, food, water).
