Not too many know this, but Cuba had had some genocides in their times. In 1959-1987, Fidel Castro was the dictator of Cuba. He did not let his people leave the island of Cuba. When a citizen tried to escape, he or she would be killed if Castro's water patrol catches them. Fidel Castro would kill people who went against him. Castro formed a gang, known as The Infamous Firing Squads. The squad was Castro army. Castro brother killed a young soldier because the soldier betrayed orders given to him. After 50 years, him and his gang killed Cuban citizens who betrayed the Revolution. He, also, killed prisoners. He would take them to the cemetery where the prisoners would be killed. Those who were not getting hanged and watch those who were getting hanged. Then, they will get shot right in that line. Some people were shot without given a chance of trial.I thought this would be a genocide because Castro was targeting people who betrayed his ideas.
