The old spanish fort overlooking the entrance to the harbour in Havana.
Our final stop in Cuba, and also the end of our Latin American adventures.

We had a 2 night stay in Havana. It is distinctly divided into 2 parts, new(ish) Havana, and Old Havana. We were expecting the city to be full of crumbling ruins, but we were pleasantly surprised.

Old Havana was a treat. Still retaining a lot of its Spanish Colonial charm, a lot of the buildings have been restored and converted into shops or restaurants.

A highlight was the old American cars that are everywhere. Some of them have been well maintained and would fetch a good price in the USA!

It was a good couple of days, but being the end of our Latin American trip, it also means the end of the blog. Our last week will be in Disneyland and San Francisco. We hope you have enjoyed reading the blog, as we have had fun putting it together. Thanks to those who submitted comments, was good to keep in touch friends & family back home.

We will see you all in a few days.

There were musicians everywhere in Havana, all of them trying to make pesos.
