April 25 Tortuguero National Park

Hi all

This is going to be a poor excuse for a blog entry but I promise much more tomorrow. We have the afternoon free. We've taken gobs of photos. We were up at 5:30 and on the road at 6:15 this morning. Tomorrow we're up at 5:00 am and on the boat at 5:30 for 2 hours in the Tortuguero canals.

It has to be 150 degrees in our rooms with no air and I can run faster than the fan turns. The humidity is unbelievable as well. Nothing dries.

We're having fun and leaning a lot. The kids are great.

"Oh, that's an Anhinga. They're related to Cormorants. They dive for fish." Dante and Beckett

There are no windows in the "resort" we're in. Everything is really open to the outside.

"Let just stand out here and sweat" Elsie

As we stood outside the dining room sweating, Elsie went into the dining room and announced:
"It's the same inside as out."
