Our last fews days in Costa Rica and we've been enjoying our stay at a Ramada Hotel. Soft fluffy mattresses, duvets and 4 pillows per bed!!!! Also, a jacuzzi bath!!!! Amy has asked if we can stay longer. We haven't ventured into San Jose city as rumour has it that it's not particularly nice. However, we did have a fab day yesterday at a place called InBio Park, just 20 mins from the hotel. There were butterflies, beautiful gardens, huge green iguana, turtles, crocodiles, white-tailed deer and also some wild birds that we'd not seen before. The Blue-Crowned MotMot bird was something special - there were 2 of them hiding in part of the forest in the park. We felt quite lucky to have seen such an unusual bird.

In summary this trip, in particular Costa Rica, has turned us into a couple of "birders". With every new and colourful bird we see we get into it. I'm afraid the little brown sparrow in our garden at home is not going to be enough now!

Adios Central America - off to Ecuador tomorrow, destination Quito.
