So a short summary since our last blog is this: we left Granada and went to San Juan del Sur, we stayed there for two nights, honestly: its little America. You will meet mainly American tourists there and there is nothing to do but party. We didnt like it. So we ran off to OMETEPE. It´s the biggest island on a lake Lage de Nicaragua. The lake itself looks like the ocean. Its beautiful. Located on the island are two volcanos. The landscape, the peacefullness and the absence of crowded places make this island so special. We loved it, however we had horrible weather, storms and a lot of rain, so we basically relaxed for two days and ate amazing fresh fish 😊

After Ometepe we headed straight to Costa Rica, we underestimated the trip to San Jose, which actually in total took us 13 HOURS to get to from Omeptepe . It included a bus from our town to Moyogalpa, from where we took a ferry to San Jorge. From San Jorge we had to take a cab to Rivas, from where we took a bus to the Costa Rican border and crossing the border by foot of course and on the other side of the border we took another bus to San Jose. We arrived just before midnight so we stayed the night there.

We didnt hear anything interesting about this city and other travellers have been avoiding this city, we actually liked it. It wasnt "pretty" or full of character, its similar to most capitals, big, polluted and a lot of traffic. We still enjoyed the few hours we spend there. In the morning we took another bus from this AMAZING bus terminal. It was amazing because it was clean, didnt look dangerous (in contrary to almost any other bus terminal we have been to) and it had free wifi connection everywhere. I doubt you will find such a place in Europe. Anyhow, from there we headed to Puerto Viejo by the carribean coast. Many travellers have recommended this place. Again its very touristy, its a nice town, we werent lucky with the weather, but there are definitely nicer beaches around central america. Those in Puerto Viejo were small, had many corals so one couldnt go into the deep water and well... were not as we would have wanted them. Besides Costa Rica is expensive!

In the evening we went out for a drink, met some locals and danced a bit salsa 😊 Everyone is relaxed in this small town and generally its a cool place to chill out. Very artistic and lively... but... we prefer the villages with noone speaking english... nor spanish sometimes 😉

We were lazy the past days... But we had to slow down a bit on the adventures... We will catch up with them soon hopefully and we will send you updates of our experiences here in Bocas del Toro, Panama, where we arrived today.

Lots of kisses
