Took thewater taxi to Caye Caulker. Staying at Da Real Macaw. We have a little two story beach house for the four of us. The island is very primitive but incredibly gorgeous. We got into our beach house by noon and travelled up and down the beach road on rentbikes cycles. Went to the split which is where the hurricane went thru the island and left a half mile wide gap. This is where a lot of young people go to drink and party and snorkel.

Took a little ride south to the airport. We bought our tickets. This will allow us to depart from here on a 12 minute flight to Belize City

The posse then decided to head over to Wish Willy's for dinner. Wish Willy's is a hut where they bbq your food for you. You pay one price and they make it all up for you. The funny part is is that is right across the street from the SPCA. We sit down at a picnic table and an old man takes our order. The head chef then assures us that we will enjoy our dinner. By the way everyone is in old shorts and T shirts. We see them prepping the fish on an old piece of plywood. Feels like we are about to be eating dinner in a slum backyard. Just as we laugh about how odd this all seems a lady comes out of the upstairs with three large dogs. She is taking them for a walk. All of a sudden we hear barking and growling and much animal aggression. The lady returns and heads back upstairs with the dogs

MEanwhile the head cook is arguing with the old man. I guess the old man is talking to us too much. Finally the food arrives. The cook puts down a black iron frypan loaded with rice, beans and veggies. The fish is then placed in front of me head and all. There is four good sized pieces of steak and a bunch of grilled veggies. The food was very tasty even tho the ambiance was so weird.

We finish our meal and pay our bill. As we are walking out Paul G can hear a strange sound. It is the sound of one of the wait staff sound asleep on the bench of a picnic table just outside the restaurant. He was snoring his face off.

Time for bed. It is ten o'clock and it has been a long day. Tomorrow is golf day.
