the shirt Ok it's work wear, but go and google punk band 'The Exploited', you'll see they are not type of music group you would expect to see on a young Muslim girls shirt.
flying fox? Hi there!
Your pictures are beautiful! I just wanted to to tell you that the animal you call a flying fox is actually a colugo (Cynocephalus volans), and that a flying fox is a bat (a Megabat, or Megachiroptera).
I was looking for pictures of a flying fox to compare it to a colugo for a work at school, and I found yours, wich was then funny because you mislead them. That will prove my point that they are alike! :)
Cheers!
angkor wat temple The civilization and manners when visiting Hindu temples have a long record and are packed with representation, solemn respect and worship of Brahma's creation.
it is uncommon to come crossways an very old temple that has not been reconstructed .For more information visit our site http://www.travelasia360.net
Great fun! Hi John and Lynn!
It was great to read your story about our trip! After a while it is good to remember the good things and forget the wet ones!!
I'll keep checking on this to get news from you!

hi Hi, I'll take a look at your blog in a couple of weeks after we get off the Botswana Vic falls tour we are on just now, glad you liked the hotel puri, it's lovely isn't it. I wanna go back!
thanks for the heads up on Hotel Puri I read your blog before heading off to Malaysia. We'd only intended to spend two nights in Melaka and after reading your blog we decided to splurge and stay at Hotel Puri. Loved it. Especially the breakfast buffet! Like you our few days expanded to a holiday within a holiday, so charmed by the town we ended up there for a week - staying the whole time at Hotel Puri.
Sadly the doctor fish bar was shut the whole time we were there but even better we went to the Zen massage place around the corner for excellent Thai style massages. The Geographer Cafe also became a familiar haunt, just far too handy!
If you want to read any more of our travels they are on http://confessionsofafoodnazi.blogspot.com (search for "melaka" if you can't find them). As the title suggests - we did a heck of a lot of eating in Melaka and boy, was it great!
Great write up John.
Just as I remember my ragamuffin tour. Staring at the horizon for days... Then inventing 'da rum dance'. Yeah Mon ! Want to do it all over again.

unbelievable John, Thank you for the unique narrative. I enjoy reading your Manchester words. A highlight for me was when Lynn popped out in a full-hearted "ya'll", much to her delight. Looking through these pics again, it amazes me that this actually happened - these magical three days shared with you all were truly like a dream. Thank goodness for digital photos and cameras and blogs and Facebook to keep us all connected and to always remember it was real.
