Park Pobedi? I am not sure, but I think someone told me Park Pobedi is the deepest. I am not positive, but I will try to find out and head there for some pictures. I will be home in mid-July so I will stop in and say hello.
Glad to Have You Along Angie, glad to have you along and yes, I do remember your earlier replies. It is nice to have new friends join the adventure and you are welcome to post anytime you like.
Metro Cool pics!! Some look familiar. Need to get a pic of the long escalators to show how far underground you are. Don't know the stop, but one has nearly 900 steps on it.
You probably dont remember me from other comments but I'm still here reading all the interesting things your doing. I'm so jealous and excited for you. You can never know a country until you know the people, and meeting a U.S. Ambassador is absolutely exciting.
Thank you for sharing your adventure with me.
Dates If everything does as planned, I head home on Friday, July 14. I will be staying with my parent until Tuesday when Dad and I then leave for Vegas for our annual Father/Son trip. It will be a short time there, but at least we kept the tradition. Dad, correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is our 14th year going to Vegas together. After that I head to Atlanta to get my annaul eye, teeth, health, taxes, etc. checked before heading back via Canada to see the newest Cirque production.
It sounds busy, and it is, but you know me well enough to know, it is fairly normal. The day I actually go somplace boring and just lay and rest, you will know something is wrong...lol
Specific Requirements When you buy your stamps, you receive the specific envelops required for international mailing. I do not mind certain restrictions, but "white linen" glued to the package is a little crazy!
You must be carrying a notebook with you to document all the facts of the places you're photographing! These are just awesome pictures! Thank you for helping us get to see places we'd never see otherwise.
Unbelievable! Are there any restrictions or specific instructions for mailing regular letters? Talk about strange, that one is pretty high on the list.
Postal Workers Needs Clothes I think it is because the postal worker needs clothes for their kids so they remove it and take the pillow case home with them. I agree, it is CRAZY!
What are they thinking! I cannot believe this! There must be a huge problem with missing items in the mail. It puts a new twist on pillow packed product. I can hardly wait for that to hit the US.
See what I can do Have you been real good this year little girl? Maybe Father Frost can find a little extra room for you in his sack...lol Or when you come to visit, you can just pick out what you really like and/or take a tour of the town.
Gift for me? If the original blue and white pottery is pretty, would make a nice gift for me:-) I know I have the great Egyptian paper painting, which is currently being framed for Christmas, but I have a birthday too.
Jesus H.! Do you need me to send you some vitamins? And here is my favorite saying when the person with "customer service" won't be reasonable..."Please transfer me to your supervisor". I feel your frustration and if I can bonk a few heads for you just give me the word! God I hope your week goes better.
Oh my gosh you've had a trying week no doubt! Hope you get feeling better. I just got over my once a year bout of bronchitis so I know how you were feeling and don't wish that on anyone. Get lots of rest, drink plenty of liquids and stay away from doctors! lol
You have become a very good scenery photographer. What a beautiful country. I'm glad you enjoyed it and could share. I think most of us Americans think only of Paris when we envision France and therefore have a bad taste in our mouths regarding the country as a whole. Thanks for reminding us there is more to France than the rudeness of Paris.
I changed my portrait from my lastest picture from Tokyo where I saw ZED by Cirque du Soleil and even go to meet ZED.
Summer has pasted and now it is winter here in cold dark (short days with little sunshine) Russia. For those that did not hear, I signed on for another year so I will be living here in Obninsk until January 2009.
It is finally summer here in Russian so thought I would change the picture. Enjoy the stories, adventures, blunders, etc. as I live and work in Russia.
I do not want to loose any of my emails and stories, so I am just going to add to this existing one. ... full info
