Answer Hi there, I got a mail that you answered my question about visiting the Shahsavan nomads, but can't see it when I click on the link. Could you add your answer to the comments or somewhere else? Thanks you very much!
Visiting the Shahsavan nomads in Iran Hi there, I just read your very interesting blog about the visit to the Shahsavan nomads. I'm coming to Iran in a couple of weeks and would love to visit the Shahsavan nomads too, but it seems to be difficult to get there - we can't find any tours or guides that can bring us there. How did you get there? Do you maybe have some contact information of people who could help us getting there? Thank you very much on advance!
HI Hello there. I am happy you liked it. unfortunately, i don't live in Iran to help you out in this matter. i got there by car and i think it's the only way. you can take a taxi from for example Zanjan, shiraz, Tabriz, (or some other cities) to get there but for that you need to know Farsi or to have a friend to help you for translation as i doubt if taxi drivers can communicate with you. Wishing you a nice stay in Iran in advance.
Need more info about the trek HI Mahboobe
Good day
Thanks for your sharing
We are interested to do some trekking on coming spring 2018
We might need more info, probably give us your email address or Watsapp phone number
Thanks

:) You are most welcome Pauline. sure it is possible to get that size as there are many ladies with various sizes in Iran although i guess those fashion kinds Manto are usually for smaller sizes.
Adventure Hi Mahboobe,
That's great to see someone such adventurous person like you. I love travelling and adventure too and thank's for sharing your experiences and stories.
Good luck
Thanks! Hi Mahboobeh, great blog, thank you so much! Great information, lovely to see all the different Iranian places you have been to. I am travelling to Iran this week, very excited about my trip!
visiting Iran My visit to Iran was very nice, I really enjoyed it. Could you give me your email address so I can write you directly I am interested in the places that you showed in your blog.
to DIANA (Diana Mirza-Grisco) Hello Diana, i dont know what problem is that i couldn't answer your private message so i brings it here and hope you can see it!
I hope you are doing well and wish you& your friend a nice stay in Iran in advance! :)
Well, about your question, Yazd & Shiraz are warmer than Tehran & Isfahan but during October weather is pleasant and nice in all mentioned cities and maybe temperature is around 18-30 centigrade at days! So you can bring your cotton clothes which you mainly wear during September in Romania + bring a warmer jacket in case weather get colder or rainy. Shoes, up to you! :D Here many girls wear high heels ;-) but I guess for you as a traveler perhaps some comfortable shoes would be better. You do not need any boot on October as snow starts after December.
As I said, there are many Manto shops in each street of Iran but just 2 days ago I went to Haft-e-Tir square (next to Vali-Asr squre),which is known for selling Mantos, and I saw many beautiful mantos there so you can go there.
P.S. Bus system to those mentioned cities are very good and comfortable so you and your friends will not face any problem. There are many buses for different hours every day to those cities by different companies. You just need to reach Terminal-e-Arjantin (or Terminal-e-Azadi) and buy the ticket!
Best Wishes,
Mahboobe
thank you for the travel ideas I am visiting Iran in December and was very worried about what I am going to wear. This has given me some great ideas and reassurance that I don't have to spend loads of money on those Islamic clothing websites. Should I just take a few bits and then buy in Tehran or is it not much cheaper there these day than anywhere else?
welcome :) Hello there and welcome in advance :)
If you are coming on December, weather would be cold, so you may wear your own winter coat, jacket, rain coat (better enough long to cover your hip!) or even, a long vest with a long-sleeve shirt (knit)! It is same as what you wear in your home country (apart from covering hairs) so up to you!
Also, there are many Manto (manteau) & Roosari (scarf) shops in EVERY street of Iran so don’t worry. The price is different and can be between 5-250 euro (depending on designer, material, the amount of handwork and etc).
In case you like to buy Manto or you are interested to see some shopping malls in Tehran you can have a walk in Vanak sq. or Tajrish or Shahrak-e-Gharb or Vali-asr street and so on (They are shopping malls and have everything). For cheaper Mantos, Haft-e-Tir, Vali-asr sq. and Jomhoori.
There are also some private fashion shows that they offer really beautiful mantos but prices start from 30 euro.
You can have a look here (https://www.facebook.com/elsamod) or (https://www.facebook.com/pegahmanto) too to get better ideas.
And my last words: take it easy, it’s not a big issue as it looks especially for a foreigner is much easier and not strict. :D When you come here, you will get to know that wearing in not that difficult and conservative which what western broadcast media show ;-)
Best, Mahboobe

My name is Mahboobeh and I am a girl from Iran. I would like to invite all of you to travel to Iran (to the land of mountains, deserts, forests, seas, plains, history, art ...), without any kind of prejudging :) I have been studying and doing research in Europe for some years and I know what you hear about my country via media but let's see both sides, good and bad! First of all, I love nature and travelling as everyone else in this world does! :D but I do try to take my camera wherever I go to take photos of historical sites, buildings, landscapes, local foods, a... full info
