Isn't Tana Toraja Amazing? I went there in July 2019 and I was blown away. I plan to go back someday to observe their ma'nene ceremony which apparently takes place in August in some villages north of Rantepao. You made a wise choice flying to Palopo instead of taking the bus. Although it was one the most comfortable buses I have taken in Indonesia, the 10 hour roller coaster journey was a little trying.
Wonderful Story I loved this blog - very un-American and that was the best part. I think we all need to loosen up and trust more. We miss so much when we are
fearful of a new place. Vince really, truly captures the spirit of a place.
Man you must have buttocks of steel, with all them hours on buses. I'm keen myself to get to Gambela and the west one day or pretty much anywhere in Ethiopia. I like what you said about Tepi; it's always good to have a good time in a place where the 'guide' book says to expect nothing special. Good practical information in your blog.
Good man! Yeah, it's cool a great wild place out there, hardly a touristy. Gambela is a good place to hang, enjoy river life and Sudanese culture for a few days, really hot there though. It's interesting how lush it gets when you clear tepi and head on the long road to Mizan Teferi. Hitchhiking and walking are totally feasible. I feel like I just scratched the surface in this area. Enjoy!
Amazing Experience you share about Nepal Very beautifully you define your experience about Nepal. Its really an amazing experience to read more about Nepal and their culture. The famous places and trekking area you define in your blog really show the beauty of Nepal.
loved What a sensational trip, I loved all the shared images! I noticed that you took great advantage of this trip !! Congratulations on that achievement!
