Kudos
Mark, After logging in, reading your blog was way beyond educating and entertaining compare to smartphone. Thank you for your extra time answering my questions about your trip. The thing that I am most curious about is how many calories you consume every day that you ride. Can you make a food list that you eat a day? Actually, I would like to know it for every single day but I know this would be too much work and time to spend in front of the computer. All my best

Breakfast usually consists of a croissant, yogurt, cereal with milk and fruit cocktail and if the hotel includes it in their breakfast (they vary) eggs and ham or sausage. Technically we're not supposed to do this, but at that time I would also prepare my lunch, consisting of at least two 15-20cm sections of baguette filled with meat and cheese, plus an apple if they have any (bananas were rare so I often bought them on my own to have as a mid morning snack ; I would also buy a carrot and a peach, and occasionally supplement things with a Clif bar. I'll try to add more later as my flight is now boarding

Cols
The Grand Colombiere is "Hors Categorie", I believe. Others on the 2017 TdF route you might encounter are Croix de Fer, Galibier, Telegraphe, Vars, and Izoard. See you on 6th.

I believe I have done all of those (not on this trip, though)

Mileage
Impressive daily mileage in the heat and hills (cols). Must be intersecting the TDF route soon? Bill

Did the col du grand colimbier today - a tough one; later saw a temperature sign reading 35C. Blog post will have to wait until tomorrow. No time to see where the Tour is running this year, but yesterday we were apparently close to or on some of their route.

Peloton
Where do you catch up with the peloton? Hope the weather behaves and that the Mistral is at your back.

It's bloody hot! But thanks for the wishes.

Murphy's Law! Hope the rest of the trip is perfect. As defined by you, of course.
