Travel to Scotland for Fly Fishing Competitions (Worlds and Commonwealth)

The past week has been busy. I have been traveling between fishing venues to help out the time figure out what is working. Ive been the the River Tay and Loch Leven. Most beautiful places I have ever seen. The River tay is very long running through a little town called Stanley. Parts of the Tay river are private areas owned by wealthy families. Luckily we were allowed onto this private areas for the competition. Large homes sitting on the river, talk about living the dream. Leven is very big and I could not make it around the whole Loch, but i did manage to do some site seeing. A ferry took my over to the Leven Castle island where Mary Queen of Scots we imprisioned during Elizabeth's rulling in England. Great story..too long to tell ... read more

Friday May 29th we arrived at 5:30am which is actually 2:30am our time. 6 hours on an airplane with some local Scots men getting pissed drunk on the airplane and making a lot of noise. Needless to say we did not sleep because of this and because I got the worst case of 'jimmy legs' which kept Chris up. All I could think was, I am becoming more like my mom every day and being a caged bear on the airplane proved that fact to Chris and I. We waited at the airport waiting for someone to pick us up and an hour later we realised in the emails that the team thought we were coming in at 5pm instead of am.
