Howth is a nice small fishing port at the Irish Sea (that's the sea called between Britain and Ireland), for about 45 minutes journey by DART, Dublin's suburban rail line. Ireland's Eye is an island which lies close to Howth harbour, it's the breeding place of many seabirds. The Vikings called the island Erin's Ey which later became Ireland's Eye - Erin was used as an English name for Ireland. According to Irish myths the Milesians, the invaders of Ireland gave the land this name after the goddess Ériu, one of the patron goddesses of Ireland.
