This sounds awesome! I'm honoured to have been invited and I'm wandering what date I am going to need to book off? Also are you intending to drive up to scotland? Did you know it takes 1 hour on a plane from Bristol to scotland for £50? I may consider meeting you up there and boycotting the hideous amount of time I'd spend sitting in cars (between me driving up to you to begin with I'd pretty much be driving the entire length of the country :s) ^_^ YEY!!

Hi there - just letting you know we had a very similar experience travelling in the shoulder season in April May in 2009. A bit late but...
I might be a bit late on this (had no internet for a month) but I thought I'd respond anyway. I can't remember exactly which company it was - we asked the guys on reception at City Hostel to book it for us, it was either Netbus or Iceland Excursions, but I can't remember which. Both of those companies seemed to do most of the main tours and everyone seemed pretty happy with them. There was also Reykjavik Excursions but they seemed more expensive and I think they had big coaches rather than a minibus.

Iceland tour company
Hi there I'm off to Iceland next month for a few days and was wondering which company you used for your Golden Circle tour? I prefer the idea of a smaller minibus than a big coach. Plus there are loads of companies out there seemingly offering the same thing so a recommendation would be most appreciated. Your blogs are great to read by the way - I can't wait for my trip!! Nice post!
Only just found the blog Ste! Great reading. I say we find some dirt cheap tickets in Feb/March for a Saturday. Go London in the morning head to 1 attraction then to SOHO mid afternoon for Bar Italia. What do you think?
