updates! i sent a msg to nora on fb then realized u have no fb in china. duh. turns out visa deal for us is a huge pain so we are going to try and stay in shanghai for 1, or 2 days if possible as transit no visa. embassy said we could and online reading says so. i hope it works. also i see hong kong hotels are ridiculous expensive. i see some private rentals i can check into. do u have any info from your travel guides? give us an update!
