hello Nana HI NANAAA!!!! Sounds pretty interesting to me! :) I just went to a school dance on Friday with Amy. I am playing a piece on my flute, and my band teacher (Mrs. Hardesty) asked anyone if they wanted to play the Piccolo for this song and I said I would! The song is called "Stars and Stripes Forever" and it has a HUGE piccolo sole part! It's really really high and very long. Mrs. Hardesty said if I can't do it or it's too much for me she said maybe I wouldn't do it or some else could do i with me! I hope Amy will! But I do want to do it, I just have to work really REALLY hard! Miss you A BUNCH!
Love Julia xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx..........and on and on and on!! :D hehe
safe and sound Glad you are ok, thanks for blogs lovely to hear you're enjoying yourself and keeping fit and now well brings back lots of memories. We went to Te Papa and on night safari to see Kiwis, glow worms, lizards and southern cross whilst in Wellington but very hilly. We also went up to Abel Tasman and to golden bay whilst staying at Nelson, lovely country. Enjoy west coast including glaciers watch out for sand flies and hope friends in Christchurch are ok
phew!!! So pleased your safe and sound!!! The press asked for us all not to clog the phone lines unnecessarily - and i knew you werent in Christchurch yet! Poor people. Lots of love Judy xxxx ps I would have jumped aboard frodos ship!!
Got the email Wend - glad you are OK, and will pass on your news to everyone in birders.....thanks for phoning too, it was lovely to hear your voice, and know that you are still having fun! If you keep all this exercise up, you'll be well fit by the time you get home!!

Wonderful Wendy - you are certainly making the most of your time in NZ. Your Bridge friends in Dunchurch regularly ask after you and are interested in what you are getting up to. We lived in the Waikato from Aug to Dec 1962 so know the central part of NZ quite well. Again envy, envy!
wow I did not even know you could leave a comment !!! i tried on the bottom bit of screen but they have never been published or read !
hey mum sounds like you're having a whale of a time.....hope to see the dolphins on your video !

Fabulous!!! I remember all of these places so well, and its so nice to be reminded of them! I know exactly what you mean about getting fed up with stopping for the scenery - me and Al felt the same!!! Your friend Mary from Coventry has been in touch and I've given her your email address - hope thats OK? And David has sold your car - he says he's emailed about it...has he? He was a way for ages in Australia so by the time we spoke to him, he'd sold it.....sorry, love! Keep enjoying....xxx
NZ This new adventurous Mum is quite an eye-opener! Are they still shooting any big films there? Maybe you should join in as as extra! The new Indiana Jones :-) xxx
Envy Your description of the overnight cruise was magical. We too experienced NZ stars (no light polution!) and were thrilled. Not surprised about NZ welcome - they're famous for it. Are yo going south soon? The Waikato is interesting; Kaimai mountains and the beaches on the e coast great too. And the geothermals around Lake taupo will blow your mind, as well as stink to high heaven.
Enjoy
Sounds completely wonderful Dune-surfing, Tower jumping, Sky-walking, Kayaking - totally awesome dude!!!!! Will google Hamilton and see where you have been. Can you upload pictures yet????? Have fun Mum. Miss you loads. Judy xxxxxxxxxxx
Antipodean Adventures Hiya Slosh,
Just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying following your adventures, glad you're having a great time.
Hopefully see you in POrtugal in the summer?
Julie xxx
Great news So glad you are now really enjoying yourself, Slosh.
Despite living in NZ for 3 yrs we never got tto the Bay of Islands, so quite envious. Looking forward to seeing your photos
Enjoy NZ Only seen your blog today - both at Bridge this evening and via Cheryl.
Sorry you had such disappointing weather in Fiji, but I'm sure you'll love NZ. I've missed you at bridge and over the odd cup of coffee but am so admiring of your sense of adventure. You'll know the weather here has bee awful too. I've had one day in the garden since early Dec. - at New year. I'm still waiting to get on with our improvements; planting etc but it's been either too cold or too wet (or I've been too lazy!)
Looking forward to hearing more about NZ as you travel around, and give our love to Clare when you see/speak to her.
Much loveD

Hi Wendy,
Have just read your travel blog and sounds like you are having great fun and livin' the dream. All the great travellers have an illness episode at some point, it just adds to the narrative. Hope you are feeling better though. Never been to Hawaii, but your vivid picture inspires me to go there at some point in my life.
All the best,
Rob
