Grew up in San Francisco area, went back east(Lehigh) for college, moved back to the Bay Area, have been a traveling sales rep for the past 7 years covering the western US. My father was born and raised in Denmark so I have been to Northern Europe especially Scandinavia 6 times. Pretty familiar with Copenhagen and getting around Scandinavia. I studied abroad in Brussels and had the Europass for one summer, oh what memories, too bad we didn't have blogs back then! Anyhow back to my Dad, one of his brothers and their family live in Las Palmas Gran Canaria, Spain, to where I will be traveling this Septmeber! I love to travel and need to win the lotto so I can do my trip around the world...singskiviking

Now I know I live here, but I imagine people from other countries might be coming here and looking to meet people, find things to do, and blend in with the locals here in San Francisco. That would mean don't rent those 3 wheeled motorized cars at Fisherman's Wharf, drive around the city with a giant map obviously having no clue where you are and holding up traffic. Instead, ask me! I am born and raised here and know many great places away from the tourist area, of course you have to see Alcatraz, but go at night on the Flashlight tour instead, and the Golden Gate Bridge is much more eerie and beautiful when it is encompassed in fog at night as well and all you see are the lights going up into a ... read more
