Will be lovely to see you all though! And with boat finished we'll finally be able to help with work parties!
We might be in the running for furthest miles sailed next year too!
Food in Falmouth Enjoying Falmouth from a boat sounds like so much fun. The food there sounds absolutely amazing, fresh and locally sourced. It sounds like something the town really takes pride in and it's great you got to experience a variety of meals.

Won't tell Mike what you said! Your statement at end of last blog is safe with us!! Did the bimini that Rod made not work? looking forward to next blog.X
direction Looks like a beautiful anchorage at La Manga but why did you do a U turn when you were almost in -sailback out and then sail under the bridge?
Lovely coast Sounds like you are now starting to enjoy your trip. We spent a week on that coast and visited all those places. Reading your blog took me back and reminded me how lovely it was, especially Isla Cies. We did stay in Pontevedra too. Enjoy the Port tasting, we did, the pink was very good! Good luck for the next leg. If you wait until the Algarve to get your hair done it will be easy because everyone speaks English. x
Enjoy your hotel break! Your followers can also take a few days rest. I wonder how many others lost sleep over the disappearing tracker?
Thanks for the update. Envy you part of the experience.... Swimming with dolphins, visiting new places, not so much the seasickness or eating lots of fish. I'm with Mike as a meat lover... Thank Goodness for the tins of Spam
We are following your voyage with interest. After the 'Sea Trials' the maiden voyage seems to be smooth sailing. Long may it continue. Barrie couldn't even get your Dad's wind surfer going so I admire what you are doing.

Falmouth Well done on all your hard work it will pay off. Sounds like you have been on a huge learning curve but good fun too. We spent a week in Falmouth sheltering from the weather in Regatta week which was great fun including a hog roast with the Wurzells providing the music. I agree that the sunsets were amazing, we took loads of pictures too. Good luck for the next leg. Carol and Ian x
Bon Voyage Sounds like crew morale remains high after lashings of hard work paid off and you are at last shipshape.... Or should that be lashings of cider, piles of pasties and copious cocktails.... Bon Boyage - a tout a l'heure!
Hopefully your sea legs will come Sounds like your body needs time to adjust to the rocking seas. Loved to know about your prior boating experience and how hard it was to build your boat. Sounds like mother nature is challenging you a bit but you'll be stronger for it. Love your crew morale and distance covered notes.
What an amazing adventure Just discovered your blog. Eager to read about your travels and what life on a boat is really like. We'll be interested to learn the ups and downs and hope you'll tell us more about your background, skills and what made you want to make this wonderful trip.
Our sailing adventure so far...
We have been building the 'Disco Volante' since 2005.
It started off as the imagination of a Naval Architect, but now it's finished!

Sarah has limited sailing experience and is going to learn as she goes - Completed ICC & Day Skipper only. Michael has been sailing since he was young, but hasn't been on a long trip like this before. Though has sailed to France & Ireland from Wales. Has also chartered yachts in Croatia, ... full info
