Catch up time……… It was nearly a week ago that i was sitting in a Hotel in Cantabria in a small place called Murgo and watching the F1 on the TV with the raisin pouring down. I am now at the other end of spain..almost in France and the weather is sun and 29 degrees at the moment. A lot has happened in this week and I shall try to put it down in a form which will make sense. Monday the 10 June was the day that Andy ,Rob, Brendan and Martin arrived in santander on the ferry from the UK. Autovia,motorway,Autobahn,Highway…….it doesn't matter what you call it. After nearly 900 km they all feel the same. The day started at 06.00 and the first thing i did was open a birthday card which travelled with me from Fuerteventura. My mother was as always the first to ring. Thanks mother . Anybody who knows me will also know that that time of the morning is not exactly my time. I think i have gone to bed more times at 06.00 than got up at. Did not bother with the Hotel breakfast and instead had a shower and got out on the road at just before 7. Hello world, Back on the road again…..or better put,back on the water. Currently sitting on the Fred Olsen ferry which is just about to leave Morro Jable in fuerteventura. The final destination is Barcelona but that is many Km away and nearly two weeks in the future. This trip is going to take me and my Mother Ship from fuerteventura to Las Palmas and then on to Tenerife before Arriving in Huelva on the mainland Spain. A quick dash up to Northern Spain and the Picos de Europa and then through the Pyrenees and down to Valencia and Barcelona. Any coments , thoughts and observations are welcome . Un Cafe y Una Cerveza , Thats what I have in front of me at the moment, Its about 19.30 and I am sitting in Sevilla in a wonderful plaza with about 33 degrees at the moment. So how did I get here ?…..lets start on sunday morning a long way from here. To be exact, about 830 Kms. Sunday morning started for me at about 04.00 when I was woken up by the sound of driving rain outside the hotel. As I had not planned to get up till 06.00 I turned over and went back to sleep.
