reliving it! Hey Russ - although this is the first time I have made it to reply to your blogs, we have been enjoying your travels 'with' you. We are reliving our days in sth america as we see your photos and read your stories, and it's great. Isn't Iguacu out-of-this-world? ...and the rat/pig thing is a capybara....
you are obviously enjoying life - good on you!

Those photos of the waterfalls, and the viewing platform, and the Christ statue and the old guys eating oranges are just fantastic! No wonder you love Brazil so much, it's just so colourful and interesting!

On home ground Hi Russell
So funny seeing your pics cos I knew so many of the faces this time! AND you were in my back yard - I live in Ponsonby. It's a fun place to live and I'm loving it here.
So good to see you at Gav's 21st, and I look forward to seeing you in 2007. Sorry about someone pinching your mate tea, I wonder if they thought it was 'smokeable' ???!!! LOL
Lots of love
Your lovely aunty xx
COOL TRIP youre nuts for having gone down the road in a bus with drivers drinking alcohol. ive gone down that road more than 300 times as i am a guide for the bike tour!! but i ive never done it in a bus!! seems like you had fun. however i have to say that some of your comments are incorrect since there is not one single piranha in the Beni river where you are swimming, and the plantations are of coca leaves not "cocoa".

It was the best descision of my life for sure, breaking the routine and heading off to explore the globe, and I would highly recommend getting out there and having a close up look and anything that you've read about or heard about that intrests you, because if it looks cool on TV, I can garuntee you that it'll be even cooler when you are there amoungst it.
