Today Christine and I had our first day volunteering. We woke up at a very early 5am, got ready, and headed for a 6am mass. The mass was very interesting, led by a Japanese priest, and all the sisters were in attendance. If you remember the images of Mother Theresa, she always had a quite sari with blue stripes along the borders. All of the sisters wore this. In addition, there were 1/3 of the room with volunteers. It was a whole group, ready to go. At 7, we joined the other volunteers for a simple breakfast of banana, bread, and chai. We chatted with the others and found a few people going to our chosen location. They were from Barcelona, Spain, so it was nice to practice the Spanish a bit. Christine mentioned it was
