Ah...the memories On a truck safari from Nairobi to Jo'burg my wife and I had 4 days break from tents and booked the Presidential Suite at the Tembo...ah...the memories. You have yet again transported me to Zanzibar...to Mercury's...to Stone Town. Thank you. I look forward to your next instalment.
Zanzibar! What a fascinating place There is a little boutique restaurant in Stone Town near the Obama Tree where a local traditional band played...the music transported us into one of the best nights we have had in Africa. Worth looking for.
Thanks for the heads up! I'm going back in a couple weeks I'll make sure to check it out. I saw something where you took your shoes off before you went in and sat on pillows on the floor while a traditional band played drums etc while you ate. I didn't go in because I'd already stuffed myself, is this where you meant?
health Glad you're well enough to shop! At least in South Africa there weren't the crowds and smell that you're experiencing. I know I wouldn't handle the harassment that you experienced. I'll get some in Morocco. Your comments are helping to prepare me.
Give my love to your Dad.
Sweet memories Hi Susan, it has been great reading your blog and seeing all the pictures. It brings back memories of my trip to Kenya so many years ago(17 I think, pheew, time flies!) Say Hi to your dad from me and look forward to hearing more from you.
You write very well Susan and I\'m thoroughly enjoying reading your blog. You\'ve been added to my bookmarks so that I can easily keep up with your activities.
Some great pictures in here and you even sound like an accomplished writter!!! Very interesting. I might even start following you??
Have fun and hope you enjoyed you Thanksgiving dinner.
