Full support... Dad, the Chapman daughters give you full support with this endeavor. The night you take off, I will personally light a cigar, pour some single-malt, and "pray" for you. Now, kick some ass, Marine.
Well, I'm "training". Huh? Yep, my bride - long ago passed the RN exam/license - was reading and found that just doing some "PT" (in my case, walking) 3 times a week for 20 min. or so....just isn't hacking it. I now have to do at least 15 miles a week. I just did 1.5 miles down and 1.5 back...with the occasional Harrier screaming overhead...I expect I will be sore manana, but, PT is what Marines do, eh? It was raining yesterday and we drove by a bunch of Marines in a field doing sit-ups and push-ups. 2nd MAW isn't as "laid back" as some might think. Cheers, Paul. Tad
Go for the GOLD Pablo, Now is the time to practice your Spanish!!!
Make sure to learn, "don't kill me, I know secrets!" in Spanish and Arabic just in case...
Training and shoes Paul,
Have you done any training in prep for this? How about shoes? Any special ones? Will you "press" or meander? Will you hump for 50 min. then do the 10 minute break to change into dry socks? Is there emergency medical support along the route? Do NOT die in Spain. I WANT our government to pay you your MarCor monthly swag for many more years. Tad
