Hello This blog is great way to keep track. Love the content and the photos. You are tracking what your mother and I did in 1976. Remember Irkusk and Lake Baikal well. It was frozen at that time of year (late April). Remember Chita - the great railway terminus of the Gulag. Missed Ekaterinburg, which alas, the Czar and his family did not. Will look forward to next posts. All the same here. Julia lousy in the polls and Dr No saying No.
We also missed Ekaterinburg, but not the Tsar and his family who had been conveniently moved to St Petersburg!
Sounds like nothing has changed back home!
Go on! 58 of the 80 views of this post are probably just me checking to see if you've written any more. Go on! Do it!! What do you think this is? A holiday?
Your photos are amazing! I might even be jealous. :)
Intrepdi traveller Hi - glad to hear you survived rigors of the 24hr trip. 32C sounds good as it's blizzarding in snowies today and wind chill is minus lots. Always good to visit somewhere special with several thousand of your closest friends to share the experience! Keep well, B
That sounds like fun! Nothing like cycling through a city to feel like you are on holidays and on top of the world. I'm surprised you were provided with helmets!
It's not too late! There's still time to let others take this pilgrimage in your place! Why give up the comforts of a couch, television and Vienetta desserts when eager young travellers are ready to take the plunge for you?
Just give it a thought.
