That's waaaayyyy up there! It sounds and looks like you are continuing to have an amazing time...not sure I could have done the paraglide thing but I am sure it was exhilarating :) love always Nancy
Great Post! Hi Dick and Pauline! How great it was to see a notification of a blog post from you (and Happy Birthday, Dick!)! Pauline, you and I are similar in our quest for adventure. I went hangliding in France last summer. It was exhilarating (and not the slightest bit...okay, maybe a little, insane). I hope you both are either still travelling around NZ or home safely. I can't remember when you were headed home.
Happy Birthday Dick Happy Birthday Dick!!! What a wonderful place to celebrate your birthday in, surrounded by natural beauty - the beautiful New Zealand countryside and your beautiful wife by your side. Aren't you lucky!
All the best for the coming year.
Love
Susan

Happy Happy Birthday traveling brother! Just wanted to wish you a happy birthday Dick..now it is a day late here but wanted you to know I thought about it lots yesterday just did not get fingers to computer to do so! This will be a great birthday to remember years to come as you think about this trip. You are in ice and snow but for the first time I can remember we have the snow off the septic bed before the end of March! A real achievement this year! Enjoy and look forward to your next post.
You younger sister but not the youngest! ME
Happy Birthday Hi Mary - thx for the birthday greetings, but you are not a day late, in fact by our calendar you are 3 days early. Glad to hear the snow is off your septic bed. Tonight we will wear our long johns to bed and toques as fall is upon us in the South Island. Love, Dick

Nice! Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures and your experiences. Sounds like you're having a great time. Will you want to come back to Canada?
P.S. The longjohns look great!!!
nice long johns! Wonderful pictures...the adventure sounds amazing...keep warm and enjoy.....thanks for the update. It is so nice to hear from you. Nancy
Bringing back memories Great pics and adventures. I have run the 25 km "root and rock" run around Lake Rotoiti 2x...crazy! Cold nights...last time down I had snow on my tent at Fox glacier....not even the long johns helped :-) If you find the book Denniston Rose by Jenny Pattrick, a great read about the early gold rush. There's a series of 3 books. Lots of glow worms around the caves and mines....enjoy a walk at night!
amazing! Hi, It is great to hear from you and see what adventures you are experiencing....it all looks so beautiful. What wildlife have you seen? love always Nancy
Great spots. I spent 2 days saving whales on Golden Bay near Land's End Spit. Enjoy! You are hitting the right spots to begin. Did you have green mussels at Mussel Boys in Havelock?
