Mutant Cow with mising eye
Mutant Cow with mising eye
"Are you lookin' at my eye?" Whew, glad there wasn't any pus.
Last week, when Ben was still in Raleigh with me, we were driving after dinner with my friend Lynda. We were near NC State University, so I happened to mention the cows with windows. You see, NC State has a good vet school and agricultural blah blah farming stuff. When I was a kid, we would drive down one of the back roads near the fairgrounds, by some property NC State owned, and see the cows with windows. They have this like... window in their side. I don't know why. I don't know how. All I know is that it is [View Full Entry]

Ben and I are in Charlotte now. He leaves in just a few hours. Then I won't see him for two months. Ugh. I don't want to think about that.... Anyways. My sister has fast internet, so I thought I would catch up on picture posting! These are some more pic's from Washington, DC. [View Full Entry]

Arlington National Cemetary
Nags Head, NC

The rain has been coming down pretty heavy since the middle of the night. It's nice...different than Albuquerque! Wednesday, Me, Ben, and his Mom went to see the National Museum of the American Indian. It was phenomenal. Whoever the architect was--what a genius! It looks like a giant mesa, with waterfalls and streams outside. There are lots of pretty plants--native to the area. The exhibits focused a lot on the present--which I liked quite a bit. On the east coast, people seem to forget that Native Americans are still alive. There were really great displays--innovative. Anyways-- [View Full Entry]

This is where the Reflecting Pool drains into the WWII Memorial.
So, this will be pretty quick 'cause I'm on a dialup connection. To make a long drive short--Lotsa dead armadillos. Oklahoma smells like skunk. Big thunderstorm in Arkansas. Ben and I are now at his parents' house in Fairfax, VA. On the way we stopped at Weyers Cave, VA to visit my Uncle and Aunt on my mom's side. They entertained us for lunch! ...They now have five cats. We went to Herndon, VA yesterday to put flowers on my other Uncle's grave. I was happy that we had an easy time finding it! Today we wore ourselves out in DC. [View Full Entry]

Bob and Me.
Bob and Me.
Too close!
I have been running around like a mad woman today. This morning I had my final for South American Archaeology. It went ok. I mean, after an hour and a half of writing, you get to the point where you don't care anymore. At 11:30 am, I no longer cared and turned that bitch in! Yeah! Had lunch with Bob today. It was our second goodbye eating event. I love Vietnamese food. Really, I love food in general. Bob leaves for London in less than two weeks! To get ready for our cross-country drive, Ben changed the oil in his pickup [View Full Entry]

Bob and Me in the backyard.

I got my new credit card! I am now almost ready to go on vacation! Today Cat, Angie, and I went to Cafe O to have farewell Boba Tea. It was a new experience for me. I quite enjoyed it. The boba, of course, had to end up in my nose. Anyways, Cat leaves for CA on Friday to see a boy! Angie is getting ready to graduate and go far, far away to grad school. And I get to go play with pottery in Honduras. All in all, it should be a good summer for everyone. I am now on [View Full Entry]

Stress! Stress! I leave Albuquerque, NM in two days. My boyfriend Ben and I will driving across country to visit his family in Fairfax, VA, then to Raleigh, NC to visit my family! After that, I will be spending 7 weeks in Copan Ruinas, Honduras! Yay! I have one exam to go, lots of packing to do, medicine to purchase. I am desperately awaiting a new credit card. Hopefully I will get that before I leave. Otherwise... I won't be leaving. 'Cause I really can't afford this trip! [View Full Entry]
