At the age of 35 I was bitten by the travel bug and made a 5 month trip around South, Central and North America. As a first time traveller, people said that I had jumped in feet first and travelled to a difficult destination rather than taken the "easy" backpacker route of Thailand, Oz and NZ. 3 years later I thought it was time to dust off the trusty backpack and head off again. However, not to be conventional I have decided to take the South East Asia/ Oz route then to travel back over land to the UK from Oz. I hope you enjoy sharing my travels.
