My name is Ulrike and I am currently doing my PhD at Griffith University, located on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. I am originally from Germany and moved to Australia in 2005 to do a Masters degree in ecotourism. At that time I wasn't even thinking of going further and doing my PhD, but here I am now.

Before I moved to Australia I worked in the Internet industry, and I guess that's why my PhD research is Internet-based. With my research platform I will try to engage with participants from all over the world (and from different online communities) to discuss their perceptions of climate change in relation to their travel experiences.

If you are interested in participating, please have a look at http://www.researchlounge.net/ under 'How to participate' and send me an email at u.kachel@griffith.edu.au. If you should get an email invite from me, please be kind, it's not my intention to spam you, I am just enthusiastic about my research and hope to find some interested people who would like to participate.

I do not even know if I will like it, but there is a desire to find it and to pursue the journey. On my expedition, ... read more
