Culture Did not know Canadian Pizza has a world wide following!! Missed you on the Bike tour this year and looking forward to seeing you on your return to Western civilization or so we call it.
tokyo!! I agree about Tokyo being great, I regret only going twice. And wait until you try and describe Shibuya to your friends back home....even with pictures it is impossible for them to understand how crazy it really is!
"rarely a dull moment"??? come now Hessen.......you must admit there are at least a few dull moments sitting at that cold steel desk i once occupied!!!....lol
the pics of Hiro High School make me miss it though
I knew you'd savour... ... every moment and diarize the whole experience. You'll love to look back at it when you're in Canada again. I can see you there as I read your descriptive comments about each area. Makes me want to take a peek at that part of the world some day. So different from Europe, yet so rich in history.
Enjoy - and thanks for taking us along on the journey!
Great! Thanks Hessen, it's nice to see pictures of what you see everyday. Are the palm trees by the school or by your apartment? Is the famous bakery one of the stops you also make on the way home!!??
Take care, I miss you!
Wow Hi Hessen, you seem to be having a very good time. These pictures are great. The food does look a little bit different, even for me (and I'll eat just about anything). Based on the pictures, this place appears to be picturesque, and most serene. Now, I want to go to Japan. Keep the blogs coming. Love it

Kyoto - wihses for happiness What an amazing experience for you Hessen! So fun to see where you're going and what is impacting you...
Joel told me when he was in Taiwan that young adults take the name of the person they wish to marry to a temple and turn a special stone, yes or no, to confirm the gods' pleasure. He said they keep coming back and turning the stone until it registers "yes." Interesting stuff... a suggestion for your entrepreneurial thoughts - what could you possibly offer in Canadian cuisine that would be enjoyed there?
