Coming up on 24 hours until I leave for Newark. I haven't packed yet, also forgot my laptop charge cord at work. Need to pick up some shorts too. Right now I am sitting at the American Royal in a Clinton Anderson clinic watching him work with horses. It dawned on me what a paradox my life is being a corporate technology person yet avid horseman. Found out after several false starts that my work sponsored trip to India is a go. Unfortunately I don't have a visa yet, they take 7 days and our planned departure is January 17th. I spent the day scrambling to fill out forms for CIBT (company that helps acquire visas). I had to get an invitation from an Indian national within the company. I had to have a signed letter from our CTO. I had to have a confirmed reservation but before I could get that I had to clear my travel plans, hotel, etc. with the corporate travel office in London due to the semi-risky nature of such a trip.
