| 20th December 2007 Matt | Long & winding road - From: ASS 724 The road may be long.. but even so you overlanders are always griping about the hills perpetually up, the wind head on, never with ya.. still, can't criticise too much as got worn out last week just cycling up to Chipping Sodbury (any northerly component implying up..) Anyway good to see you're back fit after the Europe leg. Like all the pics, but not sure about the tan, its just not right at Christmas.. Have a good one, don't lose the puncture kit and don't forget us curled up here out of the cold. Best wishes, Matt & Sally |
| 18th December 2007 mightymark | Hola - From: Hotel Prat and a nasty nail.... Hey chicos, I think your coatal route sounds a good one. I just hammered straight down ruta 5 and got bored! But Iīm in the Lake District now and about to head back into Argentina to see if my new tyres have arrived. Then back inbto Chile for the Carretera Austral, so may yet catch up again. Iīve looked at your blog.. You need to do an English version! Chau chau, Mark |
| 18th December 2007 mightymark | - From: Chile, isnīt it? Hola chicos. You should have waved, or at least thrown me a sandwich! Chile has been BORING cycling, but is now looking up, literally, as Iīm back in the hills. Met another Kiwi yesterday and talked about beer and cricket, which proved to be my cultural highlight. Mercy! Chau. Mark |
| 17th December 2007 Grant &Pen | Ciao - From: Chile, isnīt it? Great stuff Mighty Mark. You’ll be pleased to know we saw you the day after we left Los Penitentes - we were on one of those annoyingly big double decker buses (that must be your worst nightmare) going over the Andes into Chile, watching movies, playing bingo and eating food! We waited at the border post for you, but you seemed to be taking your time… Back in NZ now and life is a chore! Hasta luego |
| 10th December 2007 aleix and anna | hi mark - From: Hotel Prat and a nasty nail.... | 8th December 2007 mightymark | - From: BUM 118 Ey oop el Derek. I have of course got lost several times, but Chile being so thin I have reasonable prospects of moderating my lostness. I am indeed off to the lake district. Those 2 misshapen, hairy pistons (legs, not random Chilean girls) are propelling me south, where a further Andes crossing and an ozone hole await me. Good to hear from the big country up North. |
| 30th November 2007 derek | Good lad - From: BUM 118 well what can i say, it must be the longst distance you have ever gone and not got lost, of course i assume you are not trying to get to the lake district? I note the inverted bike and rubish all over the road side marked the site of your camp, unmistakable tpo those of us who have cambed with you before? Anyway less of the abuse, i am totally jealous, it is wet and cold here in Yorkshire and our life now revolves around clearing up dog poo and trying not to get bitten? Looks like you are having the time of your life, who needs teaching? keep going mate, keep submitting blogs we are watching. Keep safe Des. |
