Go Cambodia! I just love your updates! You really write in such a refreshing way and make me want to visit both vietnam and Cambodia! Hope you swing through DC sometime so we can catch up in person!
Love the Titles Can't decide which commemorative title I like better...John's or your's. Both are treasures! I am leaning towards Albania...the unstoppable force.
glad the second trip was more successful, despite the bad barbque
HOLLA Sooo... like 3 months into your away-ness, I just found your blog. And also I'm confused because the date at the top says November 30th, 2009, which hasn't happened yet... unless China is just really technologically ahead of us... and then also you referenced October 9th. Which was last month. Haha, so I'm just going to comment anyway and maybe you'll read this tomorrow, or November 31. Which would actually be December 1. Ahem. ANYWAY! I hope the lugeys are coming less frequently, but in any case now you'll have lots of nasty living abroad stories to partner my nasty study abroad stories! PS I'm promising myself to email you soon and I'm also writing it in my planner. Good luck with hearing from me! JK, JK. Tony Alamo says hi. Oh wait he's dead. Oh wait he's just in prison. Possibly for 175 years.
Love your Blog! Hi Meghan! I love your blog and am newly inspired to dust off my Rosetta Stone for Mandarin. I was doing really well for a while and loved learning characters as well. You have gotten me charged up again. Keep up the studies!
Interesting about the celebration! Phil's birthday is Friday and Grammy's is Monday...in case you want to send her an email. Hope you get your visa situation worked out soon. Let me know if you need anything. Do you want me to send a raincoat via Ray next time he flies over? Let me know - Love you - Mom
Pen Pal Hi Mei Mei
I'm happy to read you are safe in your adventures. Plan to tell my class about you so we can look you up on the globe and correspond when you have time. If you learn anything cool that 5 year olds would be interested in, drop us a post.
Tell John hello!
Love and miss you,
Aunt Margaret
Hi Mea- Mea How are you Mea- Mea?
Glad to see you made it to Shanghai and have a place to live. If I were you, I would stay away from any food with,
"balls" in the title. Just some useful advice from your older and wiser Aunt.
Love you--
Auntie Em
different Meg-
Maybe we should have gone on a few hikes with full packs.... it's a great way to get in shape. It is VERY different in the east... from your description it hasn't changed very much since I last was there..... have fun!

The hotel was about $20.. and it didnt have a door, but it did have a pull down shade.. which was fine since it wasnt air conditioned in there. I thought it was ok- better than a dorm room anyway because there is more privacy.
china Hey Meghan!
I hope your having an awesome time in China! I can't wait to read another one of your blogs. I can't believe that it was quiet in Tokyo. From what I've seen on shows it looks like it would be loud like NYC.
P.S. that arcade game looks cool. and are you really staying in the Capsule Hotel?? If so tell me if they're comfortable.
Love always,
Ainsley :)
Glad you are OK and not wearing the ... bathroom slippers. It looks like a great place. I am surprised too of not being in crowds. That is definitely not the picture in my head about Japan. I am not sure I could sleep in the capsule - but and glad it looks safe and is clean.
Looking forward to future blogs! Love you!

I'm not sure why- the date on that has never worked right. It was this past year- 2009.
