Finally after 3months of being lazy bastards we have got around to updating you with the next installment of our travel blog. First we would like to thank all of the family and friends in Melbourne for making us feel so welcome and looking after us like royalty, you really made our stay a home away from home. After a lazy month in Fiji we arrived in Oz refueled and a little scared of western civilization, being segregated from seeing more than a hand full of people at the same time for a month. Melbourne, Tazzie and Sydney all captivated us [View Full Entry]

Fiji Oceania » Fiji
Travelling for 4 months hardly meeting any Scandinavians and then hitting the Yasawa was quite a surprise. There was Norwegians everywhere! Tromso, Trondheim, Kristiansand, Hardanger, Sogndal, Oslo, Brummundal. The list goes on and on... And the people who were not Norwegians were Danish or Swedish. What’s happened in Norway for the last 5 months? Have we become so wealthy that the government has started giving out free tickets to Fiji? Is the empire of the new Vikings threatening to take over the world 950 years later than originally planned? Anyway... Fiji is an amazing collection [View Full Entry]

After a long flight from Santiago we were glad to land in auckland, although we arrived at 3.30 in the morning so we found some sofas at the airport lounge and relaxed for a few hours. As soon as we arrived we had the feeling of beeing back in a western country, as it only took us 10mins instead of 2hours to retreve our bags and within 20 minutes had some lovley fresh cappuchino and a chai latte in our hands, no drink had tasted better in 3months. We checked into the hostel later that morning, spent 3 days recovering from [View Full Entry]

Set in the lake district bariloche seemed more like a swiss ski village than an argentinian town. The surrounding area was scattered in lakes and mountains with great hikes, bike rides and loads more. We spent my birthday here once again stuffing our faces with more steak and a few drinks in the hostel bar. We also went on a great walk through the forest and along side the fantastic lakes which took a good 8hours [View Full Entry]

El Bolson is about 2hours south of bariloche and is famous for beeing a hippy settlement where the likes of janice joplin and jimmy hendrix and others liked to escape to after a hectic tour. It was a really charming place and the people were EXTREMLY laid back and friendly. It was also surrounded by many lakes and mountains with great hikes. On the saturday there was an amazing local market with loads of crafts, food, locally made beer and lots of music. [View Full Entry]

Puerto Madryn is on the east coast at the begining of patagonia. It is a great seaside town with loads of sea life including sealions, whales, elephant seals, penguins and loads more. We hired a car with some friends and drove to the national park which had stunning coastlines and again heaps of wildlife. The hostel was also worth a mention as the staff and owners were amazing and cooked a mean bbq [View Full Entry]

The Amazon South America
Our trip to the amazon was amazing. We started from Cusco with a 10hour bus ride on very sketchy roads that are prone to mudslide and flooding. The next day we were up early for rafting followed by a great 6hour boat trip. With a stop at the hot springs and cold springs and then floating 2km in life vests down the river it was a perfect day. The next few days were not so relaxing as we were trekking in the rainforest for at least 8hours a day in wellys that were to big resulting in massive blisters. It was well [View Full Entry]
