Well hello again my lovely family and friends! How's it going? Things are great with me. Just writing to give you the latest on my New York jaunts! I've got to say what a fantastic city this is.... it's so cool. I never thought I was going to arrive here at all at one point. I boarded the Delta Airlines flight like a 'gudden' and was sitting in my seat getting ready for take off when the pilot came onto the airwaves and said that our take off would be delayed because of a few 'concerns' and he would talk to us again shortly! Hey All! I know... I've been AWOL now for over 4 weeks! (very sorry!). The reason I've been for this is because I went to Las Vegas for 4 days and then I picked up my Trek America Tour around the Colorado Plateau which lasted 9 days so it was almost impossible to find time to update this thing. Hey there Folks! Hope you are all well back at home. I would say I'm missing everyone but it's a hard life tanning myself on Waikiki Beach! (Sorry... couldn't resist!). Well it was an eventful trip over here to say the least. Trust me to be one of the few people to have a row with a passenger sitting next to me on the plane! I swear trouble follows me! :o) All was well until I got sat between two guys on the flight. The one on my right was an older guy... very polite and nice. The other one to my left was a complete pain in the backside. He was around my age, and for most of 5.5 hours he snored, open mouthed (facing my direction). He near enough dribbled on me. Well, what can I say?!! Monday must rank as the best day of my life...and you wanna know why? My friend and I were walking down Hollywood Boulevard to go to the Underground to get the tube to Universal Studios, and we stumbled across a film set on Vine Street. We were standing across the road wandering who the famous person was and I seen a black guy signing autographs and when he turned around I nearly DIED... It was non other than 'LL Cool J'! And for anyone who doesn't alreayd know, I've always loved that man! Well it's Saturday and I'm in Bristol (not travelling home to Birmingham like every other weekend). I can't believe how quickly the time is flying by! I think I need to get my backside into a higher gear, so I've just been and booked my hostel accomodation for the 2 weeks I'm in LA. I've booked USA Hostels in Hollywood, and by all accounts it's pretty lively with lots of tours to Disney, Universal Studios, walking tours of the A-List stars homes, Champagne Limo tours by night, shuttles to Venice (baywatch) beach 3 times a week... and one very important factor...KARAOKE every week in the bar!!!
