Not all sun & cerveza today - storms arrived yesterday and stayed for the night (and most of today). We ventured out for some eats last night after the asado we were promised in the hostel was washed out :-( Got up today feeling slightly groggy but we headed out anyway to get our flights sorted out for the next part of this big adventure. The local travel agency had said that we could get flights only as far as Puerto Madryn, about half way to Tuerra del Fuego, so we went for it. Unfortunately, when we got the tickets back [View Full Entry]

Hello! This one is for all you doubters out there who thought weŽd never make it...all safe and well here in hot & sweaty Buenos Aires. Well - first entry in what I hope will be a long list of these...Christmas is past and it would appear that we'll be leaving in approximately 6 weeks. Obviously we've no flights booked nor actual itinerary sorted out, but we'll get there. Buenos Aires will be the first port we wander into, and given the time of year we'll most likely be heading South to Patagonia for some wildlife / ice before hitting the wines in Mendoza and making for Bolivia & Peru where we may jump onto a guided tour for a few weeks. [if anyone out there can [View Full Entry]
