Jeanie!! So I'm finally catching up and reading your blog. Aren't you proud of me? Love the pictures...looking good of course. Glad to hear you're having fun. Can't wait to see you back stateside!
Jealous! After all of the funness you described, I think I'm gonna have to make a trip down to Greece next year when I'm in Amsterdam. It was great chatting with you though. Keep having tons of fun!
Ha ha, 2 things I remember from Istanbul
1) "special price for you, my friend"
2) being sick for a week afterward : )
I also think I tried to couch surf with Ersu, but he was busy or out of town or something. Anyway, keep up the good work. Truly a couchsurfing/traveling rock star and I can't wait to see all your pics. I leave for my own adventure in a week and a half to Central America. I need to get one of these blogs.
Woah Glad to see some pictures. You look amazing! Looks like europe has put some life into that smile! It was good chatting with you briefly the other night and I hope you're having a ton of fun in greece. Find me a beauty and ship her home for me, yeah?
Oregon Girls ROCK! Jeanie, you are so rock star and I love your stories. I hope you remembered that you will need a US $20 bill to enter Turkey. I crossed those same borders last summer, but my bus wasn't quite as eventful as yours. I've been hanging with some Couchsurfing friends in Portland recently, so much fun. Be safe and keep your wits about you. Nice work thus far. You can count on a high five and a night's worth of drinks and sharing stories about eastern Europe travels on me when you get back!
Crazy girl Lil, I don't like reading your stories. They make me worry. Be careful and have fun. Can't wait to go rafting when you get home. And I need a full explaination of this couch surfing thing. Sounds like a good deal. Travelling alone through Europe does not sound like a good deal though.
Craziness Wow Jeans! That sounds like quite the amazing trip.. I had to laugh out loud at the thought of you squirting someone in the eye then pulling a groin shot. Honestly the creepy guy in the train should have been the one fearing for his life.. haha!
Miss you and hope you are having a wonderful time in Turkey. Stay Safe!!!
rock star You are totally rockin' Euro land the way it should be done. Congrats on being so independent and openminded. I also wanted to reccomend the thermal baths in Budapest. I think they are called Gellhert or something, but it's soooo nice. There's yellow ones, then Gellhert on the other side of the Danube River. Keep rockin'. Also, looks like Couchsurfing is getting back on its feet. Yah!
ugh, so lonely without prez here!!! ive been in ptown seriously 2 full weeks already this summer, and there is no jeanie. i hope you're having a blast (which from reading, it seems like you are) miss you tons!
Jeanie-
Your updates make me so jealous. Europe is amazing and I can't wait to go back, but this time I may try it the way you are doing it. Can't wait to hear more from ya!
It was the queens birthday which is actually in april but they celebrate it in june when it's not all shitty outside... speaking of shitty outside... it hit 102 here today... or 39c should you be in a metric country when reading this. just tell people your boyfriend is big and goofy looking and gets beligerent enough that occasionally people lose their teeth... i'll send you a picture of me should you need more of a threat. more than likely they'll laugh and move on to the next pickup line. sounds like good times. i want a crazy ass story tho.
damn pounds $20 for afternoon tea...sadly it's reality. I'm sorry. When you are in Berlin, check out a club called Tresor. It's techno madness and may alter your heart beat, but the party goes all night. Glad you've replaced the fake wedding ring. You poor, young, good looking girls have to watch out for so many creeps!

Why did I not go with you?? Jean Bean!!!!! I miss you already . . . no more sixth street and hodeo on Thursday nights . . . no more crazy times (at least in Eugene) I love you to death and I will stay in touch forever. You're the best and be careful in your wild and crazy travels. take tons of pictures and call me when you get back! And if you get home sick and need a buddy call me and i'm on the next flight!!! :0)
GRRRR!!! I'm insanely jealous of you right now. Congrats on the Graduation... way to put all your newfound skills to work by completely ditching everything for 2 months. I look forward to reading this and leaving you all kinds of random notes... have fun, take lots of pictures and send me a postcard.

Oh yeah-yer! Hey! Do your thing rock star. I have some friends in Europe if you feel like meeting some locals in Germany, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Holland, Ireland, or wherever. Save some money staying with people on couchsurfing.com. I've used it and the people are awesome!! Can't wait for the stories/pics!
