Not sure Reet !!!
Maybe a one way ticket next time or an extended stay. I hate the trip back to the airport. I want to be in Thailand for Loy Krathong in November sometime, maybe this year. Happy New Year
Hi Anthea, I am back in Bangkok after staying in the village again, all is good except I have a cold which I hope will not last too long. I had an early new Years Eve at 3 am as I needed some sleep and am saving myself for a big night out Sunday for a friend in Bangkok's birthday which will probably be the all night disco, hope so anyway - "Sawatdee Bpii Mai" or Happy New Year from Leon to all my family, friends and everyone in South Australia and whomever may read this blog.

Hi Reet - Yes I do love Thailand - I missed your message but had a very nice time at Elephant Nature Park and have just returned from Chock Chai near Korat where I stay with a Thai family. It's hard to believe what has happened to me in Thailand and I have found a friend and family in a village where everyone seems to like having me around. It was not easy leaving after 8 days there to come to Bangkok again for New Years Eve - Happy New Year from Leon

As always I have been having a very interesting and fun time here. Friday night I am heading back to Korat and the village, leaving from Bangkok. My friend's Grandfather passed away last night so I am not sure how everthing will be there so I guess that I will find out how a Buddhist family will deal with bereavement. Grandma is the nicest lady so I feel very sad for her and Grandpa seemed like a gentle, good man the few times that I met him recently when he was very ill. Alll the best Leon in Thailand

We have just got back from not so sunny Queensland and have enjoyed catching up on your travels. I am back in Bangkok
Thanks Anthea, I am back in Bangkok today Sunday 6th after a great week in Korat, it has been an amazing experience touring and staying with a family in the village and I have grown very attached to them all, it was very difficult to leave. Why didn't I get an icecream for my 750 baht!!?? :-( Loving your blogs Leon... safe travels xx PS Never ran into Lek at the ENP .. I was pretty sick that day and ended up sleeping upstairs for the afternoon and getting a massage! LOL xx

Hi Anthea, I have just returned to Bangkok after a week in Krabi and Koh Samui - I have been having a busy time on day tours and have been to Thai discos/nightclubs at both destinations every night and met some interesting new friends as well. The music at the clubs with the live bands and shows here make for great fun. I may do some more day tours in Bangkok of places I have not seen yet, don't think I will be going too far away though - Leon

I really enjoyed reading your entries on your experiences in Thailand which also very much reflect my own. I am not as well travelled as you but also enjoy Issan and dancing in the leuk thueng bars with Thai friends. I stay with a Thai family about 40 mins bus ride east of Korat where I have had some of the most enjoyable times of my life. Good luck to you and hope you continue to enjoy your journeys in the future.
