p.s.: m&m's p.s. lee - the case of the missing m&m package is still open and unsolved!! I've yet to track it down, but I'm still working on it (I'll go to the post office to see if it's there). Please try to put this behind you so you can enjoy your trip!!
Omg, lee, how beautiful! I didn\'t really know about Machu Picchu, although the images are slightly familiar. It is really awe inspiring and I\'m so glad that you connected with it in such a spiritual way! Thank you for sharing all of those photographs (your camera takes great pics!) and your feelings about it all - it\'s so nice to feel like we\'re taking the trip with you! Continued good travel to you - can\'t wait to hear/see more!
Dear Friend! I have the book, "Turn Left at Machu Pichu" at my bedside. It has always been on my list.
Last year we visited our daughter in New Zealand and boated throught Milford Sound on the South Island on a rare sunny day. I wept.
I am thrilled for you and your wonderful experiences old friend.
yowza Hi lee!! Yowza - that's a scary story! I'm glad that woman told it to you so you will be extra careful with your bag! Lima sounds great - let's hear it for sexy people and warm weather!! Loved your selfie on facebook - hope you are taking lots of pics to document your amazing trip!!! Sending lots of love and a prayer that no one punches in the window of any cabs you ride in!
ahhh.... robina...i know this is beating a dead horse, but when you tell me "it's over, lee. let it go. stop living in the shadows of the past" then i will. BUT I HAVE TO KNOW: did some rat-fuck-commie-bastard eat those m&m's?
ohhhh, and thanks for reading my travel blog. it's amazing this interworld stuff? how can it happen!?
xoxo lee
Enjoying your writing Enjoying your discription of place but would like more, please try to describe what your seeing as a camera and character walking through a scene.
camera loaded! geoffrey, thanks for reading my blog and for making a comment. i am having an unbelievably amazing trip so far and i haven't even gotten to the galapagos islands segment of my journey. i have never done this before---keep a blog---and since i am taking this trip alone, it's really enjoyable to share it this way. on the other hand, i don't want to become so focused on documenting the experience that i wind up diluting the experience. striking a balance is what's called for. remember our sunrise together, perched on a rock high above sedona, arizona. it remains a beautiful, precious memory, and we never took a single picture that morning, did we? i know i never kept a blog either. maybe if we had it would have been an even richer experience. but times have changed a lot since we spent a month in arizona back in the 1990's. by the way, david green commented in a chat we had on facebook that he went to the galapagos islands several years ago!
brave lee, the explorer Sooooo excited to know that you're blogging your adventures in Ecuador!! Nice to know they have a "Macis" there, and I love the photographs of the trees. I'm glad you have a place to stay and hope that you are staying safe! Looking forward to more tales of your adventure! Bon Voyage!! : )
thanks robina! hi robin, thanks for reading my blog and making a very supportive comment! it does require bravery but it is exciting and thrilling to explore this amazing planet we're on and i am being safe but i want to dive in rather than relax by the pool. then again, ask me again in thirty years and maybe that will have flip-flopped! xoxo
