larrylarry75 - Lazarus Palamino

Lazarus Palamino Hi! Since retiring I've left the big city and now live near Bandon, OR on the Southern Oregon coast. I'm finally getting the chance to travel around, usually with Linda, my other half & best friend in the whole world. We both love to travel but since she doesn't like to ride on the back of bikes I do that part alone whenever the mood strikes me. (With her permission of course...)

What a magic carpet ride this will be!
Hi Everyone, It's been a couple of years since my last long distance ride so here I go again, off to the North Slope of Alaska, this time on my Aprilia/Sputnik sidecar rig. I'll be riding along with Mac McInroy, a friend from Iowa who will be on his new Ural Patrol. I'll be leaving my home in Bandon around the end of June and heading north on the Oregon coast up through Washington's Olympic penninsula and over to Bellingham, WA. There I'll meet up with Mac at the local Ural dealership where he can have his new bike serviced before [View Full Entry]

We loved this little camper but it just wouldn't do for the rough roads in Alaska. Hope this doesn't offend anyone who owns one.
Hi Everyone, As soon as I returned from riding the Ninja to Alaska I realized I wanted to go back, this time with Linda. As I've stated previously Linda doesn't like 2-wheelers so it only seemed natural for us to head out in an RV of some sort. We've owned a small one for the past several years, a VW powered Winnebago Rialta, great for two people and the occasional mutt. However while I was in Alaska I saw a total of 6 of them and none looked like they were holding up too well. With that in mind when I [View Full Entry]

July 7 - Nice clean bike, eh? Unsuspecting old dude rider ready to go. Look at all that stuff!
Hi Everyone, These are the photos I took on my ride from Bandon, OR to Homer, Alaska in July 2006. I rode solo on my new Kawasaki Ninja 650R, camping along the way or grabbing a motel if the weather turned nasty. During the 4 week journey I covered over 7000 miles and had a great time, met new friends and got to see a part of the world I hadn't been to before. I hope you enjoy the pics!
